Oly Trials and "BLEACHERS"

I went for lunch today during a break in the NCAA meet to the infamous BLEACHERS Sports Bar and Grill. For those at the 2000 Oly Trials who spent some time there you'll be disappointed to hear that it has been closed for about 2 years.

So, someone needs to find a new hotspot for next July!!!!!!!

At least in Eugene, there are enough places that stay open late that you can have a decent meal after the meet in the evening. There may be a bunch of them in this town, but I haven't found more than one or two.

Sac State is out in the cuts, the only thing close is this biker bar across the way, you just might have to eat in the student union.

Sudwerks! German beer and food. But you have to drive.

I thought this message would be about the metal bleachers in the stadium. They reflect the sun like crazy. If you're coming up later for this meet or next year, bring your shades!

I was one of the loyal Bleacher Bums who was there EVERY NIGHT in 2000. On another board I saw that they were planning on re-opening the place next summer for the Trials once again.
