This is mainly a non-Jamaican/US event, although it does have the leading Jamaican and American racing each other for the first time, I think.

I expect Baptiste to show me something to back up that 10.83 .

Can't wait to see this race...

SAFP, Blessing, KAB, Gardner all in the same race...wow. I think SAFP or Blessing will take it but I'd love to see all four of these women dip under 11s.

Barely ! The Nigerian is getting closer and closer. Gardner run well for half of the race then totally faded.

I think safp was caught off guard by Galrdner's start b-cuz English was ahead jus for a lil bit...safp jus wasn't expecting that ...safp was not happy with that race...folks better not sleep on blessing....is she still training with John smith?

Yes it seems so. I really didnt expect SAFP to put that distance between her self and Gardener. Okagabare is really starting to get it together though. Good run from Ahoure as well

SAFP will handle the rounds better than Okay are..the 100m in Moscow won't be a one race event.

I said as much she is quietly doing her though I think her best event is the 200m for some reason although she is supposedly a great starter

Some of you folks need to cool it with the "SAFP is an prohibitive favorite in Moscow" because she is not.

At this point in the season? I would say its hard to bet against her not getting at least Silver.

So much can happen in 5 weeks...

The closest thing to a prohibitive favorite is Ms. Adams.

Of course anything can happen (see L Merritt of 2012). But anything can happen between the end of the semis and start of the finals in Moscow, are not still not going to make predictions?

SAFP is a clear favorite with all things considered up to this point in the season. Yes, Gold is not given, but if we were making bets right now? I would not bet for 2 people beating her...

I may be of the minority but I was quite impressed with SAFP's win. She didn't really get a good start, was even with Gardner to about 50m and then just blew away the US champ in the last half of the race. I think more often than not, SAFP will nail the start which is bad news for the rest of the ladies...

The real story though - Okagbare. We all know she is dangerous but if she didn't break down and lose form so badly in the last 10-15m, she would likely have won this race.

I think we can conclude that the gold/silver at this point seems to be between SAFP and Blessing, depending on how the first 30m goes. Bronze is up for grabs with KAB, Ahoure, Gardner and even the likes of Kerron Stewart and the other Americans with a shot. The real wild card is Jeter - what sort of form will she be in?

Thats what I think cause more often than not SAFP nails her starts in championships. I see her running a 10.7 come Moscow . Running the 200m helps her more now that ever cause as you rightly said Gardner was even with her till about 50-60 and then she pulled away. Okagbare just needs to work on her form a bit at the ending of her race and she will be okay. I must say what ever Jon Smith is doing in her training seems to be working.

I never noticed how much Gardener swayed from side to side when she ran until in that case I just saw. She undoubtedly is losing a whole lot of time with that wasted movement.

Says you. SAFP is barely winning...she ain't scaring anybody. Surely not this big Nigerian. And with Jeter's improvement doing 200's she will clearly be an X-factor. Today? She'd win. Five weeks from now? Who knows. I won't prematurely crown anyone based on invitationals.

Okagbare is fast improving in all areas, and if this sort of form continues she'll definitely medal in all events. However, Shelly is my favorite to win the 100. She knows how to handle the rounds , and has proven herself to be a Championship performer.

As i predicted just after the USTrials, just watch these US college girls flop when they go to europe because those times they ran at the us trials were unbelievable.

Im dissapointed with Baptiste tbh......she had just come off some good performances at her champs and I expected her to troubled SAFP .There is still hope for Moscow

After the way Blessing smashed Fraser-Price over 200m 2 weeks ago, I tipped Okagbare to win the 100m in Paris. And she would have won if not for a very ordinary last 10m where she completely lost form, almost reaching for the line.

Anyone who thinks SAFP is a lock for the 100m at the WC might be in for a rude shock.

Blessing should drop the LJ and concentrate on the 100m for the next 5 weeks. She will win if it becomes her sole objective.

Okagbare needs to concentrate on her own lane and run past the line.
