Another SB and win for Harper. USA 1-4 but Pearson seems like she is improving too.

You have to start worrying about her. I don't recall seeing her this badly beaten. I didn't notice her hitting a hurdle or anything that would account for such a sub-par performance.

The injury surely has affected Pearson's start/acceleration as there were many races in the past when the question even as early as H1 or H2 was could someone catch her? Now she's left, at least at this point, to try to run down others.

What sort of injury did she have?

12.6x is pretty sharp for the hurdles early in her season, and the comment on the effect on acceleration makes sense (the rest of the way the hurdles do not require as much speed/power as control, which has always been a strength). I expect that she will work her way into the 12.5s in a month and then into the 12.4s. She will not beat a Rollins perfect storm/race (she might have had hers already at USATF. Decent chance for a podium, third most likely to win?

She was wearing a current/2013 Nike kit though, which seems to indicate she went pro.

I guess it makes sense though, she is done with college eligibility.

So Lolo is ending her season early for bobsled training. Seems she is really making a serious commitment that may continue for some time....

It is the Olympic year for the Winter Games, so more important than the remainder of the track season. She has beaten a lot of good people and run numerous good times this year. I think she is eying the possibility of getting that medal that she lost on the 9th hurdle back some years ago now.

Thank you.

I would guess that there's a good chance the two issues are highly related.

Yes, the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. Did I say anything about Rio?

Sochi is not likely going to give her much of an opportunity to get that 110mH hurdle medal she lost previously.

I agree, her chances of a medal here outweigh finishing off a "useless" track season. But from her interview, it seems as if she made a decision before trials, or the coach was putting pressure on here before then at least. Would have been curious to see what she would have done if she made the world team...
