When I saw Eric Jenkins of Northeastern had run a 13:18.57 5,000m at the 4/28 Stanford meet I was surprized as I was only vaguely aware of him. Vaguely I guess because he was disqualified in the NCAA indoor 3,000m after finishing 2nd in 7:46.3.
I'm quite impressed wth him...will be interesting to see what he does at NCAA's and after this year.
Anyone else have any insights on him?

I, too, was very impressed with his run at Stanford. He has lots of potential and owns the school record for the indoor mile at 3:58.11. With another year to go before graduation, I think Eric will do big things in track.

Almost no one that followed the indoors racing was wildly surprised; he was DQ (marginal) after blasting out to finish second in a hard/fast race. I was expecting something under 13:30 and probably 13:20-25
