No Jeter this year? Jeter has won the 100m there about three years in a row.

Can't remember the last time I saw Veronica run the 100m at the Jamaica Invitational.

It should be a great meet.

So they bring together three of the four best female sprinters in the world and all of them are in their second best (In Allyson's case, her third best) event?

Early days. Was there ever a reason why Bolt and Blake are avoiding each other so often?

Both have the same coach. It is the coach's/agent decision so that each athlete can shine individually whenever they compete outside of the WC/Olympics. They are only guaranteed to meet at the WC in Russia later this year.

They won't meet at the Jamaica trials either since Blake has an automatic bye in the 100m and Bolt has a bye in the 200m.

They met twice in 2012( at the Jamaica trials and the Olympics games) and I would not be surprised if they only meet once in 2013.

I would assume it is the athlete/agent/coach who decides what event they run and not the organizers.

Bolt did say he would do it for enough money.

Bolt doesn't make those decisions on his own.. His coach/agent does.

Have they officially given the bye to Bolt? Remember Ashmeade also has a claim to that spot from his DL win.

Bolt has an automatic bye as the defending champion. They can't take that away . Ashmeade will get his bye as well. Jamaica will field 3 other athletes so it is possible for Jamaica to have 5 men in the 200m final :D

Jamaica has to choose between Bolt and Ashmeade for the wild card; you only get one.

Just as the U.S. is going with Richardson over Merritt for its extra spot in the hurdles.

If 2013 is anything like last year, this is a distinct possibility. As is a 1-5 sweep.
