Comment in NCAA preview quoted coach henry as saying N. Rogers has decided not to compete any more? Anyone with insights?

A longish thread on LetsGrummble; outcome is that it is not clear if she is doing with competitive running period or just done for now (and for college, since she is almost done and she will not come back from injury fast enough to be competitive at a level she would consider acceptable).

She told Pat Henry around the time of the Conference meet. From Eugene Register-Guard story yesterday: <<“It’s a tough situation for our team. One of the best distance runners in the U.S. decided she doesn’t want to compete anymore.”>>

Someone on the Let'sRun MB who claims to be a friend of Rogers says she WILL return to running....but wants to concentrate on her schooling and personal life at least until she graduates in a few months.

So it sounds like we haven't lost this great talent entirely!!

Best.....or at least funniest!.....remark on the Let'sRun MB about Pat Henry supposedly criticizing Rogers....leading to her "quitting":

"Is Patrick Henry still around? I thought when he said "Give me liberty, or give me death!", they gave him death!! Glad to hear he's still alive!!"

:P

Fantastic news!!!
Natosha Rogers is running again.....as a professional!
She'll be coached by Mark Coogan.
(She's now working as a volunteer coach at Dartmouth with Coogan.)
She'll move to Boston soon where Coogan will be based.

Here's the link to the article by Mitch Kastoff on Flotrack (or on Twitter):

I thought Coogan was getting out of coaching completely and had taken a corporate job (with New Balance?)?

I had been wondering if Ben True was soon to be without coach?

^This blurb from RW online (January 7, 2014) confirms what you stated. Left Dartmouth for NB; still working with D'Agostino through the end of her collegiate season(s); no longer coaching Ben True.

And that's good news re Natosha Rogers!

There's also.....naturally!!!......speculation that when Abbey D turns pro after NCAA's, she'll stick with Coogan as her coach!!
