Longest winning streaks (at the moment)

Not too many long streaks at the moment but probably Robert Harting with 30 and something consecutive wins?
Who are the others with significant streak ? Lavillenie, Perković, Felix in 200m?

Felix lost to Campbell-Brown and Jeter in the world championships in 2011 and didn't race too often in 2012 so she is unlikely to be on a massive win streak at the moment.

Adams is 31 (including her meet in NZ over the weekend... back to 22 Aug 2010)
Lavillenie is currently on 9...
Tirunesh Dibaba is also on 9 over 10000m (back to 2005)

Interesting. Out of those the ones I expect to continue longest are:

Val Adams, Yuliya Zaripova, Rennie Lavillenie and Sandra Perkovic. I fear Val Adams streak might end late 2013 or in 2014 when a certain thing from Belarus returns after their pathetic ban because her coach took the hit and amazingly throws further than ever. :(

A few updates on those listed.

Farah's (5000m) was ended at Pre
Menkov's (LJ) was ended in Shanghai (but he started a new one in Pre)
Suhr's ended at Drake as did Lavillenie 's
Pars' (HT) is now at 16
Perkovic's at 9

Mikhnevich in 2006 - I think.

I find Harting's win streak so impressive because he doesn't have a substantial ascendancy over the rest of the top guys, yet he's still able to churn out win after win even though there are more than a few others who can throw closer to 70m than 65.

Wouldn't it be fun if his own younger brother broke the streak? The younger Harting (born 90) is actually taller than Robert and said in an interview that he hopes to be able to beat his older sibling in two years time. His current PB is 64.99m

As noted on the Hengelo thread, Harting's long streak (35 wins dating back to Aug 2010) has ended. And it took the #7 throw (and longest in 5 years) to do so:

1 MALACHOWSKI, Piotr POL
65.53 x x 67.73 71.84 x
2 HARTING, Robert GER
69.36 x x 68.16 69.91 x

(and that was Harting's 3rd best comp ever!)

Only a sophomore, Ashley Spencer hasn't "lost a race" in the open 400m since HS. Not sure of overall count though, about 20 races since starting at Illinois.

She finished second in the NCAA Western Regional last year. Of course, in that meet, place didn't really matter.

Qualifying races do not really count unless you do not qualify.

You have to drop all of the non-finals, which really means all the regional races and the semis at NCAAs. Drop two indoor semis and two Big Ten Semis, although she blasted away in those (the 51.99 in the heat at Big Tens was her real coming out party, followed by 51.01 in a meet where she had a lot of races (400x2, 200x2, 4x100, 4x400 (both with heats?). She did not run many open 400s in high school, mainly doing the 300h and the relays and she did not run many open 400s this year outdoors, doing a number of 400h races.

Brianna Rollins' current streak is 12 in the 100mH (although that does include heats and semis). She was last beaten at the distance just on a year ago (23rd june, 2012 at OT).

She's unbeaten in 28 races across 4 individual events this season (60mH, 400m, 200m, 100mH).

You're both forgetting Iolanda Balas. 180 consecutive HJ victories in the 50s and 60s.
