After the Millrose Games was booted out of Madison Square Gardens last year, USA Track and Field organized the US Open Indoor meet at MSG last year.
This year, the meet is noticeably absent.
Maybe it was just a one year failed experiment.

Re: US Open Indoor meet? After all the needless acrimony they discovered the same things that the Millrose folks already knew. Putting on a track meet at Madison Square Garden these days is a very expensive proposition, with very little chance of financial success (and none without a major sponsor). And maybe that a packed Armory with its dedicated track facilities is a better venue for all concerned than a half-full MSG and its tight temporary track. Oh, and they also found out that track meets (and NYC events in general) don't promote themselves.
