There have been a few indoor speedsters over that years that have not been able to tranfer that speed outdoors.

True but given Ahoure's 22.42 200m PB, I think she demonstrates enough speed endurance to get in the 10.80s this year.

Laverne Jones Ferrett is an anomaly. If someone has a 6.97 and a 51.47 I would not only expect 10.8x but sub 22.

As for Ahoure her start is even sharper this year than it was last year. She looked strong right up until the line as well. Last year was her break out year for the most part and i think her and her coach are probably working on the weak spots from last year. If she can hold her form outdoors should should duplicate Tianna Madison's olympic year and be a strong medal contender.

But she does not really have a 6.97 in many people's assessment.

Ahoure has the benefit of near automatic entry to Moscow where her main challengers from the US and JAM will have trials to contend with, apart from Jeter who has a bye.

S-AF-P also has a bye for the 100m, as the reigning DL champion. She will most likely run only the 200m at trials.
