Fayetville fast times? Is it me or do fast times always come from this track? VCB,SANYA,BIANCA KNIGHT,SCOTT,DUNCAN,ETC. Anyone know any info on this track surface or turn tightness. Do they have an open cieling etc? What gives?
Re: Fayetville fast times? It is a fast track with very high banking. Thus, in the 200 the runners, especially from 5 and 6, run downhill. When still a young collegiate, the 400h runner Clement set a iWR of 44.8 or so on this track. A lot of good collegiate distance races were run there as well, but partly because it offered the best competition on fast track.
Re: Fayetville fast times? Here's everything anybody could possibly want to know about the Fayetteville track (which was originally the '93 World Indoor Champs track in Toronto).

Re: Fayetville fast times?interesting.... now it's asking me for an account too. The first time in it was no problem. A verrrrry long piece. New Mondo was put on it in '11.
Re: Fayetville fast times?Arkansas re-surfaced the track and infield a couple of years ago and beefed up the elevated runways but I don't think they changed the configuration or banking of the track, which produced fast times before the update. I cannot see how the banking is different from dozens of 200 meter tracks around the country. e
Re: Fayetville fast times?just a WAG, but if you haven't already tried the link I gave and gotten the "register" notice, google Arkansas indoor track Toronto and when you see the "globe newswire" link, try it anew.
