Did Lolo Jones and Tiana Madison retire from Track?

If they are bobsledding in January then when do they have time to train? Or will they start training after? Anyone have the scoop on that?

I doubt either of them retired.

I'm curious whats up with Madison though considering her coach moved to Great Britain.

I don't believe either of them has said they were retiring from track, and until they do, I have to believe they'll keep on running.

lolo can do bobsled in lieu of indoor track

plenty of time to get ready for june abd des moines, it's her home town

2014 year from now is sochi, and with no worlds of olympics, a shot at the winter games can be taken

Question for those of you who are familiar with elite sprinter/hurdler workouts... How similar are the elite bobsled/skeleton workouts described in the article below to what someone like Lolo Jones or Tianna Madison would do preparing for a track season? Is there anything in the bobsled workouts that would seem to be detrimental as far as sprinting or hurdling goes?

Yea I love Lolo no matter what anyone says. She fought for her spot on the us olympic team hard last year and I just wish she at least got a medal but all the ladies that did get medals were very deserving as well. It was also great seeing Tiana blossom out of almost nowhere. I just wanna see her do more.

Lolo will be powerful at the start, but her bobsled training may have impacted her top end speed. However, as a hurdler, this might not be as important as it would be to a sprinter, since hurdlers never run at top speed in a race.
