All the rage is Mary Cain...and for excellent reason! But go back just a couple or 3 months, and Sarah Baxter was making Cain seem like old news! Add Amy Eloise-Neale, Ashley Erba, Erin Finn, and (first name???) Rohrer.
Is Baxter going to race indoors? I think Neale's been running, but nothing really spectacular yet. The only one, other than Cain, of course, that's gotten a good time has been Finn, with her early 10:18 two mile. Also, Finn said in an interview that she wants to chase her own HSR in the 5K (indoors). When?
Anyone know what these gals indoor schedule might be....if any??
Also, one collegian woman ran GREAT in CC.....Laura Hollander. Haven't seen any results indoors from HER either!!
in 2011 newbalance outdoor won 5k, 1 mile and 3k???
in the mile race she beat cain who had run 4:17 1500 as a soph
frazier had won 2 distance races, and the mile was her 3rd race, which she won with a kick, it is linked here somewhere as a race where cain had a bad day
oddly frazier is running unattache too, as is her sister

Not unless they want to do a lot of traveling. There is one indoor track meet held in Fresno, I think it is a 160m track. Next closest indoor tracks are Albuquerque and Seattle. Some go to Simplot Games in Idaho and a few go to *insert sponsor here* Indoor Nationals.
California preps have a lot of outdoor all-comers meets this time of year.
The nation's #1 distance recruit Edward Cheserek of St. Benedict's (Newark, NJ) is on Villanova's campus today and tomorrow on his official recruiting visit. The two-time Foot Locker National Cross Country champion has narrowed his college choice to five schools: University of Arizona, Oregon, Northern Arizona, University of Portland, and Villanova. He has visited each of the other four school already, so Villanova will have the last opportunity to impress Cheserek before he makes his decision. In addition, Villanova is the only school in the East -- and close to his home -- to have a chance at the holder of the US prep indoor 5000 meter national record (13:57.02), something that will hopefully factor into his decision.
