From the linked Inside the Games article: "Many experts believe a successful Pan and Parapan American Games in the city could finally lead to a winning bid for Toronto in 2024 or 2028."
Hmm...not too much for the elder statesmen track fans to look forward to. And that would mean the next successful USA bid would be 2048 or 2052? Or more likely, never.
