We are all adults here. If we can't have free speech on relevant topics then what is the point of having a board like this. Where would we discuss it? I can see a moderator monitoring individual posts but to get rid of a whole thread is just plain ridiculous.

Free speech is the ability of the GOVERNMENT to control your speech. Posting to a messageboard is NOT free speech. But, if you are so concerned with free speech than it would seem obvious that deleting a thread is also a form of speech; only this speech is reserved for the moderator.

When a whole thread's premise rests on unsubstantiated drug accusations, then there's nothing left to discuss.

The thread that was deleted was in line with the rules of the board. Judging from the decision to delete my thread I assume any post about Flo Jo is delete worthy unless it is titled " Flo Jo's Long Hair", " Flo Jo's Long Nails", " Flo Jo fashion style".

That's the point: no one has proven that she used PEDs, therefore any discussion of it is off-limits to this board. If we allowed that discussion, virtually every thread on every break-out athlete would be filled with innuendo. We're sick of that, but that doesn't mean we are avoiding the subject. When a bust occurs, we say 'good riddance'.
