Usain Bolt wants to break his records next season

In his various interviews after the Olympics, Bolt as started to to reveal his plans to really take a stab at breaking his world records next season. We saw that that this year he came close to top form, but after that 9.76 in May he slacked off and got injured. Once he was beaten by Blake, his motivation return and he rounded back into form in just 3 weeks. It got me thinking if he had the same drive he had in the 3 weeks leading up to the games, the record would surely have fallen, but his main aim was to defend his Olympic titles. we've seen this before, once he set a goal for himself he usually gets it done, in my opinion he may not have a choice but to run faster with Yohan Blake quickly catching up. Now the questions are: Can he do it again? How much faster will he go if he fully put every aspect of his training together?

Marlow, you need to rethink your interpretation of odds. Either that, or don't go to the casino.

If you give someone 50-1 odds against, the only possible reason to add "But I wouldn't be surprised if he won" is to CYA. One is probability-based, the other is emotion-based. If you believe he likely will not: say it! If he doesn't, you can say "I told you so." If he does, you can say "Oh, gee, I was wrong."
