Re: November's T&FN Cover: Who?Aries Merritt would be my guess also.
Re: November's T&FN Cover: Who?The Who?! Ahead of the Beatles or the Stones?!!!!
Re: November's T&FN Cover: Who?It would be nice to be able to open the Digital Issue but the circle goes round and round......
Re: November's T&FN Cover: Who?Yeah, there was a note with the mailing of that that you might have a problem. It's some glitch at the company who does e-mailings, and it defies all logic. Happens to both PCs and Macs, and with every browser. But not to everybody. And some people have found that suddenly it will work.
I can't open it either. Needless to say, they're working on it full-time. The wonderful world of electronic coding ps--although it won't open on either of my computers, it opens just fine on both my iPad and iPhone.
Re: November's T&FN Cover: Who?
Worked first try for me yesterday and there he was!
Re: November's T&FN Cover: Who?Why is it not a direct link to a pdf file anyway?
Re: November's T&FN Cover: Who?after several days of trying, mine finally kicked in this evening (in Safari, Chrome and Firefox) (all on a Mac).
Hopefully everybody else is having better luck.
Re: November's T&FN Cover: Who?I can't seem to find if there is a post for the October Olympic issue cover so I apologize. Carmelita Jeter is a tremendous athlete and seems like a nice person but come on. The cover has to have a face of the games. It is a great WR, the 4X1, but no Mo, no Bolt, not even Felix with her 3 golds. How about Rudisha with a run for the ages in the fastest 800m ever where a 1:43 was only good enough for 8th. I love T&FN but please put the super star performances on the cover. No more high school athletes that may or may not pan out. I remember how long it took to get Bekele on the cover. There must have been a dozen colege and HS athlete on it before this legend had his day in the so called Bible.
These were London's games. Jessica Ennis should have been your cover girl.I am certain that one of the hundreds of photographers had a shot of Ennis and Mo together on that majical night. What about a finish line shot of Mo just ahead of Rupp.I am Canadian so I can't speak for Americans. Yet,I believe that Track fans are a worldly bunch that won't object to a non american gracing the Olympic issue cover.
Re: November's T&FN Cover: Who?Looks like 3 "World Record!" titles in a row for the cover lost the majority vote.
