Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon? If anyone has a link or other information about live coverage of the Berlin races, please post!
Apologies if I've missed the info somewhere on here. If so ... where? Thanks, Stephen/SW
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?Bummer! ... looks like a goose egg on this question.
Buumping back to the top since there are still some hours for a hero/ine to sweep in with the needed info.
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?http://universalsports.com/watch-live/
but that's not free. Will be free on Direct-TV and DISH, depending on your package (start at 03:00 EDT)
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?Try SportLemon......but you'll have to wait till tomorrow, because they only post that day's events!!
Remember the time differences!!
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?SportLemon WILL be carrying the Berlin marathon!!!
It's on their schedule. I live in WA state, so it's 9 hours difference to Berlin. Thus it will start at midnight here. If you've never used SportLemon, they generally have a NON-English commentary!! But who cares, right?? We want the visuals!!! Hope you're successful in getting SportLemon!! It worked for me throughout the DL season!!
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?Try this:
http://www.stopstream.tv/45/64/456464.html They're past the half-marathon mark in 1:02:12. For the women, 1:10:33.
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?30K in 1:28:11. Makau ran 1:27:38 last year.
35K in 1:42:29. Makau ran 1:42:16 last year. Mutai and Kimetto at 40K in 1:57:22. Makau ran 1:57:15 last year.
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon? This is very exciting! They've dropped in a few 3-minute kms but they could get it if they race each other but I think a 2:03:5x time is perhaps most likely now.
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?1. Geoffrey Mutai 2:04:13
2. Dennis Kimetto 2:04:13 3. Geoffrey Kipsang 2:06:12
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon? And after that, the finish was a bit of an anti-climax. They were both exhausted but it looked like Kimetto didn't want to beat his training partner.
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?1. Abera Kebede 2:20:30.
That was fun. When's the Frankfurt Marathon? Makau's in it.
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon? The first 3 men and the women's winner all set individual year age records!!
G Mutai, age 30......2:04:15 D Kimetto, age 28...2:04:16 G Kipsang, age 19...2:06:12 A Kibede, age 23...2:20:30 BTW, the above are the official times listed in the race results.
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?
Frankfort is October 28th at 9 a.m. Euro time. But Chicago is next Sunday. And the World Half-Marathon is the day before, next Saturday!! Who sez the season is over??
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?
Awful early start for a marathon in the Bluegrass State.
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?Weird coincidence here:
Fastest marathon debut, all courses - 2:03:06, Moses Mosop, 2nd to Geoffrey Mutai (Boston 2011) Fastest marathon debut, record quality course - 2:04:16, Dennis Kimetto, 2nd to Geoffrey Mutai (Berlin 2012). Shurno 2:23:32, UKR national record...
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon? No new WR ... bummer. I guess 2:03:38 is fast afterall
Seriously, though ... 2:04:13 ... HUGE PERFORMANCES! Congrats to both training partners. Will be interesting to compare the splits to the EXCELLENT! data/graphic that was posted prior to the race, see where the record attempt started to come into doubt. Thanks for all of the coverage suggestions above, btw! StumpWater
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?
Amazing!! Which brings me to the award for WORST T&FN.com home-page headline ever: "Mutai, Kebede Wins Berlin Marathon But No Records" Really? That's your reaction to these awesome times?
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?
May as well take this: Bailey pitches no hitter And turn it to: Bailey comes up short on perfect game
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?
Huh??? I was referring to the Frankfort GERMANY marathon on Oct 28th!! Is there one in Frankfort KENTUCKY that day?? If it starts at 9 a.m. European time, then it would be 3 a.m. Kentucky time, right?? I guess that WOULD be early for you Bluegrassers!!
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?Saw some of the womans race on Youtube and there was men running with the women. I thought the IAAF was trying to stop that saying the men where "pacing" the woman and wanted to remove Paula's records. Did that change?
Re: Live/Online/Free coverage of Berlin Marathon?
aaronk, Frankfort is in Kentucky. Frankfurt is in Germany. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankfort,_Kentucky
