Any NWAACC Historians out there?Has any athlete that went to an NWAACC school ever run sub 1:47, sub 4:00, or sub 13:30?? Thanks
Re: Any NWAACC Historians out there?Paul Kezes is close. I believe hes run like a 3:43 1500. Hes also run in the 13:40s. Went to Clackamas for a year then Western State then Western Washington for XC last year before dropping out.
Re: Any NWAACC Historians out there?Well, possibly this comes with an asterisk, but Jose Luis Barbosa ran for Lane in 1986 while he lived in Eugene and he got under 1:47 a few times. Also, Chris Katon ran for CC Spokane in 1992 and a couple years later ran 3:59.19 competing unattached in Eugene.
Re: Any NWAACC Historians out there?Jose Luis Barbosa holds the 800m and 1500m records at Lane CC at 1:44.10 and 3:45.14 from 1986.
Re: Any NWAACC Historians out there?Jim Howarth went to Lane CC before his time as an Oregon Duck. Known to Coach Bill Dellinger as "the Grants Pass Flash" and "our 700-meter runner," Ho as a post-collegian ran 3:59.75 to become U.S. sub-4:00 miler No. 202... er... 201... no, 203... 202!
He was coached by Alberto Salazar... and may have worn corked spikes that day. (kidding)
Re: Any NWAACC Historians out there?how 'bout sub-2:10 guy, and Coquille Red Devil, Ken Martin...also a Titan.
Re: Any NWAACC Historians out there?martin ran sub 2:09? NWAACC rules. It has to be one of the most underrated JC conferences ever!!
