Spearmon has the ability to medal in the final, he's looked crappy in rounds before and put it all together in the final. Bolt will win with Blake 2nd, the Bronze will be up for grabs between Lemaitre, Spearmon, and Martina IMO. I'm guessing a 19.25 for Bolt and a 19.5 for Blake.

Wow, that first semi is tough, with Blake, Lemaitre, Spearmon, Ndure.

That 1st heat is ridiculous!
3 very serious medal contenders, plus a 4th who could easily be a finalist. Now 2 of them risk elimination, and all of them risk over expending themselves in the semi, which could jeopardize their chances in the final - IF they make it.
Ridiculous!

3:00am? Did he stop that early?

Something must be wrong.

Did he look ill?

No Guinness available?

Maybe Blake will win the 200m after all.

Everyone knows that Bolt is at his best when partying until 5:00am.

His endurance is apparently lacking.

He obviously has to go into more serious training, oops, partying tonight.

5:00am or bust.

Only then does he have a chance at the gold.

Not sure if you guys are serious about the party stuff, but interestingly after his semis he said he felt a bit winded. Winded after 20.39?

200 heats took place in the morning, semis and final will take place in the evening. Bolt can be winded as much as he wants running heats in the morning; expect him to be on top of his game in the evening.

SF-1:
Blake-20,01 eased wayy up with both Spearmon (20,02) and Lemaitre (20,03) nearly catching him at the line. Lemaitre needs to sit and watch, hoping he's in the final. Spearmon ran a better curve today.

Lemaitre ran a weak turn, while Spearmon finally ran a sold turn.

LOL at Lemaitre's reaction when he saw he finished 3rd. He should be fine off of time, but he won't get a good lane.

Yeah, Blake almost timed that one wrong, eased up too much.

SF-2
Bolt in 20,18. A lot left in the tank. Very relaxed - not just down homestretch; ran the bend rather comfortably. Great start from the blocks. Quiñónez came under a bit of pressure there. Jobodwana second auto Q.

I'm just curious to see what lane Usain gets for tomorrow. He prefers outside lanes, so will he get the same lane he had in the 200 final. I think it was Lane 6 or 7.
