No, it's not a video card problem, since I'm viewing on my computer. Any choking is due to either internet service provider getting overloaded or crappy coding on the NBC streaming page. Usually the latter.

I haven't had any problems since last weekend. Today's 200m race on nbcolympics.com showed perfectly.

Part of the future that worries me about this streaming trend is I don't think it will EVER be as reliable as a decent pay tv service. The internet and all the ISP's simply do not achieve that level of service and I honestly don't think they ever will. Not to mention the infinite combination of software that can be running on any given individuals computer and all the potential hardware/software issues that might occur. For those who cheer for all streaming all the time, all I can is while I have loved using the streams there is a lot of room for bad things to happen.

FYI, there is a way to download NBC's livestreams (all feeds) to your computer in whatever resolution you want, including 1080p. However, it's not an undertaking for the computer iliterate. Obviously, NBC has an nterest in ake this sort of thing can't be done easily.

Third day in a row feed running flawlessly in 1080 HD when filtered through my VPN. Dont know what it is but I'm not complaining.

it's the bbc folks, matthews and someone else.

i must have a bad connection, the nbc streaming works well for maybe 75% of the time, but often freezes, skips and the quality deteriorates. frustrating to watch today... after hours seems to work best (i'm doing this at work).

It might be Paul Dickinson.

Listening again, I don't know who it is.

I wish one of them might have learned how to pronounce LaVillenie. I mean, how hard is that? Yet whoever it was stumbled over it time and time again like he had some sort of speech impediment (or maybe, like a true Brit, he hates the French).

NBC Olympics youtube page has all of the races uploaded after they appear on TV. The races are up to 1080p.

There are several softwares out there to download youtube videos including the free real player.

Good point! The spanish pronunciations were also pretty brutal. For crying out loud, the "J" is pronounced like "H" most of the time! Double L's are silent! As good as these announcers are with technique, stats and history, some of them sound like rubes.

While I have no problem with valid complaints about not getting names right, for me listening to the commentators on the main NBC streaming feed is the best I have listened to in a long time.

I just watched the pole vault stream. No commentators. I think we all liked it better that way. I didn't bother to try and watch on TV, but the PVers I heard from were not impressed with Dwight's coverage of it.

Anyone catch the little piece about the two 17 y.o. boys who are driving the mini-Mini Coopers that carry the javelins, shots, discs, and hammers back to the throwing areas? And the one lad, holding back a few mock tears, says he wants to thank his Mum for all her support during his training? Hilarious. :)

I read in 2 national newspapers today that Ebersoll, the head man at NBC, is complaining that the BBC is too partial and has not shown enough of other competitors ? : Said some of the BBC coverage highlighting Brit s would never be allowed on NBC.

Love it.!

About wiping up spills with paper towels whilst the theme to "Chariots of Fire" plays endlessly in the background.

My main home computer picked a bad day to die. Not like there is a good day to die. Thankfully I have my work computer at home. But the network side of it was acting up all day. Finally got a good stream going and didn't click on anything until things were done. Now I need a new home computer.

After dozens of criticisms for its coverage of the London Olympics, NBC has decided to stream live the Olympic closing ceremony. It did not stream opening ceremony live. Television coverage of the closing ceremony however will be on a tape delay basis.

Coke, Head and Shoulders, ATT and Chevy interrupted so many events at the wrong time I have vowed never to use their products again :x ...
Did anyone else's Main Screen freeze just as they got in the blocks for the M 4x1? Fortunately, was on the little screen on the right so I saw it in miniature.

When I read the terms and did some research it noted that Adblock collects your browsing information for their use.

I don't know what Adblock is but than may explain why my firewalled, previously spam/ad free computer is deluged with spam since I started watching the Olympics.

I had absolutely no problem using nbcolympics streaming during the mens 100m and the mens 4 x 100m. Your problems may be ISP related.
