Don't apologize to us.

You should look into a mirror and apologize for mentioning a relay split in the same breath versus an open time.

Especially a 2nd leg relay split where the athlete didnt have to stay in their lane the entire lap
AND in the 4 years since the split the athlete hasn't come within 1.5 seconds of duplicating in the open event. :?

Just stop it with the 4 year old, 2nd leg (the shortest) 48 flat means you can run it in the open event nonsense please.

I would say she deserves consideration, but not sure it will be the best decision for her and her 400m preparation. If I remember right, they have two relay camps and have to commit to running in 2 meets. I am not sure how such a committment would affect a 400m runner trying to prepare for the biggest 400m of her life. Clearly for the 100m/200m runners, it's the speedwork they need.

Not saying it would hinder her preparation, just wondering if it could.

Where's your optimism, optimistic? :P

That's what I'm talking about. The more the merrier. I'm glad I chose the second weekend instead of the first. I believe that Felix is about to face her toughest challenge to make the team since she turned pro.

By the way, Spencer's win was the first by a frosh since Sanya.
