Why did Williams bow out after his first try at 2.38? Great win for him at 2.36 but the Brit got the same for 2nd. He's not injured is he?

This was one of the more impressive events of the day, IMO.

Donald Thomas had some truly horrific misses at very low heights. He's so far off of his "form" that it's hard to even take him seriously. Mason wasn't even close at the opening height, either.

Is that a PR for Grabarz?

Yes! He's very good now and Jesse is exactly where he should be. He can certainly win in London.
Yeah, there is Ukhov but with him you never now.

So, The US now has 4 jumpers with "A" standard since Nieto went 2.31. His first time over 2.30 since 2004!
That's terrific news! :D

I'm counting 5 w/ the Oly A standard: Williams, Robertson, Kynard, Nieto... and Jonas w/ a 2.31 qualifier from last year?

You're right. In all the confusion I forgot Dusty. He had a 2.31 last Summer. But what's he doing now?

The 7-7 from Drake was before May 1st 2011. He had another 7-7 from last June.

Well, you're right, looks like Jonas is out this year, after struggling with his 2.25m indoors...
