Funny thing is i grew up in kingston where tremors were common but when i moved to mobay they hardly ever happened.
Re: world indoor champs day twoI feel bad for Jodie Williams..
Re: world indoor champs day twoMile relay heats...Bahamas dns.
Re: world indoor champs day two
Why...she qualified as a fastest loser.
Re: world indoor champs day twoExpectations.
Re: world indoor champs day twoBahamas threw away a sure gold it seems in the 4x400 by not fielding a team
I wonder why they DNS ...
Re: world indoor champs day twoThey might not have made it through the first round if they hadn't run Brown and Pinder, so it's a moot point.
Re: world indoor champs day two
Even the great usain bolt took a bit of time to translate junior success to the senior level. Second heat ... Britain first Poland second Trinidad third

Re: world indoor champs day twoOnly a good 24 hours for one of the Lalang brothers!
Re: world indoor champs day two
Don't. She's been over-hyped, but not her fault. And she's doing very ok. In 2000, I thought a world junior record-holder might jump up and score a surprise medal. She didnt' - didn't even make it out of her heat. But she has won two World Championships and two Comm Games golds in the last ten years. Though STILL not lived up to expectaions! If Jodie managed at least that, surely none of her fans would be unhappy?
Re: world indoor champs day two
Schippers said they're hearing "tss-boom" and you need to move on "tss". She also said that they turned up the volume today and I think the reaction times were indeed on average better in womens 60 as compared to the mens yesterday.
Re: world indoor champs day two
Jodie is more than capable of dealing with a few headlines. She is surrounded by a great team, parents, boyfriend and is a very smart and level headed girl. The fact that Asha is back is brilliant for both of them and with Desiree Henry on the up as well the UK women's sprints will hopefully be getting a lot more attention on the near future
Re: world indoor champs day two
There's no denying her talent but these media people, oh boy, they're like an eternal evil.

It has been awful all season. Not sure if her reaction here is based on all the 'issues" other athletes are having in hearing the gun. Hopefully, she will have a better reaction in tomorrow's semi and finals. Last edited by notorious on Sat Mar 10, 2012 6:31 am, edited 1 time in total.
