Orlando Ortega CUB ran a 13.09s over 110m hurdles yesterday. Who would have thought that Robles might not be the fastest cuban hurdler in London.

Moguenara's series was good: 6.71, x, 6.77, 6.81, 6.88, x

Achkinadze also did 6.72, Florczak 6.64 and Kappler 6.60.

In Rehlingen Nicola Sanders was very disappointing finishing 4th in 52.42 behind Esther Cremer 51.76, Marie Gayot 51.78 and Janin Lindenberg 52.29. I really don't know what's wrong with her at the moment as she doesn't appear injured. A 49.6 woman struggling to break 52 secs when she should be at her peak is worrying. Perhaps she should move back to the hurdles or up to the 800, she just doesn't seem to have any speed anymore :?

The most remarkable result from Rehlingen was the return of Antje Möldner-Schmidt. She was 9th in Berlin 2009 with a PB of 9:18.54 over 3000m steeple. In January 2010 she was diagnosed with cancer and had to go through chemotherapy, which also meant no sports at all for almost a year. In 2011 she ran her first race after defeating the cancer at the german championships and was 4th with 10:28.74 and now she seems to be back to the form of 2009, running 9:32.14 in Rehlingen.

I was recently wondering what happened to her. She did compete in 2011, but kept a very low profile compared to earlier seasons. No international competitions so far this year, either.

Typo? 23.49 sounds much more credible. Anyone see it? Was it broadcast?

She won the 100 in 11.78(-0.9) so I figured a typo too... Second in the 200m was 23.51 so it's very possible..

ETA - Dutch newspaper articles online make no mention of a 200m NR though they do highlight the result below:

The Dutch girls in good form though, also winning the 4x1 with a 42.90 (NR I think - ETA - beating a nearly 44yr old record from the Mexico Olympics).

PS - she's Jamaican born.

I also look at NED website, but EUROPEAN WEBSITE listed it,the website of the meeting also showed 22.49s ,by the way ,samuel won first race 23.28/-0.9m/s,the relay time really a little surprised me for no schippers.Good luck to them, :)

Now the 22.49s is even listed on iaaf.org. Still more likely it's a typo, but if it is then it's a typo that has made it quite far.

Zahra Bouras (ALG) 1:58.78 (Montreuil 6 June)

PB; #9 on 2012 list; ALG NR is Boulmerka @ 1:58.72

She has made steady progress over the past 3-4 seasons and now seems like yet another candidate to make the London 800 semifinals interesting.

Some results from Mannheim/Germany:

100m women: 1. Verena Sailer GER 11.19s (+1.5) (also ran 11.13s with +2.6 in the final).

110m hurdles: 1. Carolin Nytra GER 12.74s, 2. Nadine Hildebrandt GER 12.95s (+1.5)

Considering it was Nytras first 100m hurdles race since 2010 that's a very good result.

That's where i got the result from, they changed it, which makes this even more incredible because that would be a new age WB i think (actually not, Kaki was still 18 when he ran his JWR).

There were some great results from Manheim. It was an Olympic qualifying meet so many were on form.

Of note:

110h
Alexander John - 13.39
Matthias Buhler 13.40 in another heat

LJ - Sophie Krauel, on her comeback from injury - 6.50

w100m - Behind Sailer's 11.19 was Tatyana Pinto in 11.37. Pinto has run 11.19 already this season.

m200
Aleixo-Platini Menga ran a good 20.33, Sven Knipphals 20.53 in a different heat

w200 Inna Weit, 23.08

From the same Bulgarian meeting at which Irozuru jumped 6.80 as mentioned on the UK's London contenders thread, two big Turkish records: Pinar Saka 51.60 at women's 400 and 9:13.53!!! by Gulcan Mingir (last year's Euro U23 champ) at women's 3000SC. (Both native Turks btw.)

Tasha Hastings w/ a nice triple workout today (6/9) at the NTC Clermont Meet:
11.38 / 23.05 / 51.18

At the same meet, BAH's (I assume) D. Atkins runs 10.09 (-0.4), his fastest since 2008.
