That is good news. Hopefully, he will do big things this track season.

Great to see this 45.18 PR for him, a few tenths faster than his high school days, but he looked to be in control out in lane 8. Fellow USC sprinter Hughes pulled up though with an apparent hamstring injury in the same race at MtSAC, so that may impact their upcoming NCAA relay chances.

Nellum 2013: I'm glad to see Bryshon continuing his progress this season. He won the Florida Relays in early April with a 45.54. Also, this past weekend he finally broke his 200 PR (20.43 in 2007, his H.S. PR) in the UCLA-USC meet, running 20.37 (0.9). After everything he's been thru, I hope this return of speed is a good sign of things to come.

Very few things would make me happier than Bryshon Nellum becoming an Olympic/World Champion.

as you can see from the front page, and the sides of this page, Nellum and his tale are the cover story on the new issue.

Seeing a sprinter in USC garb on the cover has been rare of late; when was the last time, and did it use to happen often?

Another PR this season for Bryshon, going 44.76 to win the PAC12 today. Gotta wish this kid nothing but the best.

Seems like the US team will be he, Merritt and McQuay. He's the US leader now and third fastest in the world behind Santos and James. I'd love if he can medal this year in the 400. Will be difficult if Merritt gets back to top form, we know that James will be up there and Santos has been impervious thus far this season.

... and a few hours after winning the 400 in a PR of 44.76 at the PAC12's, he comes back with another PR in the 200, going 20.23 (1.5)... things are looking good for Bryshon in 2013.

What's also impressive about this run is the fact that he won by a comfortable margin. seconf place was 0.30 seconds away.

It would be nice to see him under 44.00. The 200m makes me think it might happen.
