Oh, the guilt!

I was telling my three-year-old the classic bedtime story "Goldilocks & the Three Bears" a few nights ago, which of course starts by naming the three main characters who live in the house: Daddy Bear, Momma Bear, and Baby Bear.

"No!" she insisted. "Daddy Bear isn't there!"

"Well, where is he?" I asked.

"He's at a track meet!" she replied.

Okay, maybe I've been spending a tad too much time at the track. :-)

Your flimsy excuses might fly with your kid, but we know you're out back hitting on Rapunzel and Snow White.

You know, I had a dream recently that Amy Acuff was hitting on ME. I told my best track buddy about it, and he called me a geek. My wife agreed.

I think the proper term for that would be "pipe dream."

You'd find it even better if you knew what "pipe" means in colloquial French.

You leave "MY" Amy Acuff alone. As an ex-HJ'er, that fantasy belongs to me.
