SO How far is a 25 meter race & a 50 meter race

The science geeks who pop up on this board every time somebody wants a simple answer will undoubtedly be along to deluge you soon with corrections to my response, but for the short kind of sprints you're talking about, simply think of a metre as the same thing as a yard.

(50 metres is almost 55 yards, but for a 7-year old, who's to know?)

There are 3.28084 feet per meter so

3.28084 * 25 = 82.02 ft (27+ yards)
3.28084 * 50 = 164.04 ft (54+ yards)
