great race by joey woody, i think this was his first ever medal at this level and at 30 his chances were getting slimmer. he was consistent at mid 48 this year until he reached the worlds then he went 48 low which was good enough for a medal this year.

Hypothetically speaking, if Joey Woody were the kind of hurdler who knocks down lots of hurdles (which I don't think he is), this would be the perfect nickname:

Woody did well, but I think he would have finished third had the guy on his outside not fallen. Quite an athlete he is though, and I can't help but wonder what he could do at 800m if he trained for that event
