THE FUTURE KING AND QUEEN OF SPRINTS

AFTER WATCHING DARYL BROWN IN 100M FINALS, I PREDICT HE WILL BE THE WORLD'S FASTEST MAN IN TWO YEARS. HIS START IS SUB-PAR AND HE GETS INTO HIS ACCELERATION PHASE LATE. WHEN HE GETS GOING HIS GAIT IS OUSTANDING AND HIS POWER IS EFFORTLESS. WITH HELP BETTERING HIS BEGINNING PHASES OF HIS RACE, HE WILL BE UNBEATABLE.

MARION JONES WILL HAVE HER WORK CUT OUT FOR HER NEXT YEAR. KELLI WHITE AND TORI EDWARDS BOTH HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BEAT HER. KELLI IS PURE POWER AND FOCUS RIGHT NOW. WHEN SHE SMOOTHS OUT THAT POWER AND BECOMES MORE ACCUSTOMED TO RUNNING FAST TIMES, SHE HAS 10.6 POTENTIAL. TORI JUST MAY BE THE SLEEPER, WHILE HER RUNNING IS NATURAL AND TECHINICALLY SOUND, PERHAPS A LITTLE MORE STRENGTH WORK AND SHE'LL BE HARD TO BEAT.

Unlike the past few years when Mo and Marion dominated the 100's, next year's sprints should be wide open and very exciting.
